MOTORIZED DOORS AND SPECIAL ADA SOLUTIONS

Somec has developed a sliding window, with silent and hidden motors, compliant with American ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards. Together with the raised floor and the automatic flap it ensures a perfectly smooth transition between the external and internal floors, guaranteeing a safe and easy passage. This state-of-the-art motorized system is perfect for suites and premium cabins with balconies.

Continuous balcony balustrades are made of safety glass, secured using top and bottom profiles or other support systems, with handrails available in various shapes and materials. Each balustrade is designed to withstand specific design loads and is certified through rigorous impact resistance tests to ensure high performance and maximum reliability.

PREFABRICATED BALCONIES

Our prefabricated balconies are pre-assembled, turnkey systems crafted with powder-coated aluminium profiles. Each balcony includes flooring, balustrades, partitions and a water drainage system. These elements are fully customisable to match specific deck geometries, with options to integrate roofing, washing, lighting and audio systems. Our balconies can also be supplied with decorative resin flooring, catering to the styling needs of any architectural project.

Engineered to meet the most sophisticated needs, these windows seamlessly blend smart technology and elegant design.
From remote management to security ensured by a system of photocells, our AVSWs adhere to the highest standards of air permeability, water tightness and wind resistance.
These windows can be enhanced with a motorized curtain, providing even greater comfort and convenience. Smart maintenance: Somec staff can perform a functionality check using a specially developed Bluetooth APP.

Light weight fire resistant panel

Our lightweight fire-resistant panels are crucial components for fire safety and protection aboard the ship. Crafted from quality steel, these panels boast a Class A0 fire rating.
In addition, our panels are rigorously tested and certified according to the stringent Fire Test Procedures (FTP) standards. This ensures they can withstand very high temperatures and maintain their structural integrity in emergency situations.
To enhance thermal insulation properties, our panels feature inner layers of insulating material. They can be painted to match project specifications, seamlessly integrating with the ship’s architectural design.

Our continuous fixed glass walls are engineered to provide maximum safety and pressure resistance. Innovative and dynamic glazings with integration of darkening layers to control transparency. The internal environments can be shielded from view without using internal curtains; this guarantees the desired privacy with respect to any external observers. Somec solutions are designed to reduce incident solar radiation and the consequent overheating, while still allowing light to enter.
